…to the press. (Still got some more fundraising to do ;-)
Apparently, though, our project is interesting enough for The Santiago Times to make us a lead cultural story for this Saturday. Good call, guys. You can check it out here

In the meantime, we’ve got more interviews scheduled with former Chacabuco prisoners here in Santiago. Then, just a couple weeks till heading up north!

What is The Chacabuco Project?
The Chacabuco Project is a public awareness and fundraising campaign for the upcoming documentary by filmmaker Niles Atallah.

Chacabuco: The Desert’s Skin will be a 30 minute film on the abandoned nitrate mining town and Pinochet-era prison camp in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile. The documentary will focus on Roberto Zaldívar, the sole resident of Chacabuco, once a concentration camp prisoner here some 30 years ago.

To learn more, read the full treatment on the official Chacabuco Project website.
