Thanks to Will Sherman’s efforts we managed to publish a total of 4 articles on the front page of the weekend edition of The Santiago Times, the English language newspaper in Chile. Now Will is taking a hack at the largest national papers here in Chile. We’re hoping for a feature article in one of the following papers: El Mercurio, La Tercera, La Nación or La Segunda; all of which have widespread circulation all over Chile. We’ll keep you posted on our progress.
Niles is currently working on a rough cut of the documentary in order to send it off to a film festival held in Rome in December by UNESCO called Desert Nights Film Festival. UNESCO has named this year as the year of desertification, in order to raise awareness of the enroaching threat of desertification and the communities living in desert environments all over the world. The selection panel of the film festival will decide whether or not the documentary will be shown in their festival this coming December. Again, I will keep you posted on what happens.
