More Press Again
Once again the Chacabuco Project has been featured in the English language newspaper of Chile, The Santiago Times. This is the second time we’ve published an article on the front page of the weekend edition of this paper. Check out the article here
Will Sherman wrote the article about our experience filming in Chacabuco along with a brief history of the worker movements in the former nitrate mining town. This is the first of a three part series on the Chacabuco Project that will be published in the Santiago Times on their front page for the next two Sundays (including the article just published last Sunday).
The Chacabuco Project is currently applying for a grant from the Chilean government.
So, if anyone can help out by finding theaters, universities or organizations of any kind to sign a letter agreeing to show the documentary once it’s finished this will help out the application process significantly.
So far, we have received two letters: one from the Goethe Institute, a German cultural organization in Chile (who has supported the partial restoration of Chacabuco in the 1990s) and a letter from the International Film Series in Boulder, Colorado (thanks, once again, to Jason Lange).
We are currently waiting for a host of other letters from all over Chile and several cities in the U.S. Please contact us at info@chacabuco.org if you have any suggestions or ideas!
