Chacabuco Plane Tickets Add Up — We’re Adding $650 To The Budget

21 May, 2006 (12:10) | News

Thanks to Tom Marshall, Katie and Brian Hoeber, Raffaele Timarchi, Sheiva Rezvani and Sam Coble for their donations! We’ve soared right past the production cost goal of $1,580 with a total received of $1,750!

THANK YOU to all who have donated and helped in anyway by spreading the word of the existence of this project! We’re leaving tomorrow and are currently preparing for the trip north.

NEW BUDGET CHANGES: LAST MINUTE PLANE TICKET COST A BUNDLE, POST PRODUCTION COSTS OF
$650 STILL NEEDED

Yes, the budget has once again climbed higher. Since we had to buy the plane tickets for Rolando and Santiago (the two men who were held in the concentration camp in 1973-1974) at such a late date the ticket price was $500 more than we had anticipated. Total plane ticket costs were $923.48 for these two men to fly north.

It’s worth it, though. We found out just over a week ago that Rolando and Santiago would be joining us. We would have liked to buy the tickets right away, but didn’t have the funds. Hence the high, last minute price. But the important thing is that we’ve secured their transportation. They are on board to Chacabuco!

On top of the extra transport costs, post-production (editing and transfering the film to video) will put us down another $250.

The good news is this: we have enough money to make production happen and we are leaving tomorrow. The filming is about to begin!

Let’s shore up the $650 and get the film made. We will continue to accept donations throughout the week.

Once again thanks for your support! Go Here to Make a Donation!
